What is MeltWatch?
MeltWatch is a precious metals companion app for coin collectors, dealers, and coin roll hunters. It provides live spot prices, instant melt values for 70+ US and world coins, a collection tracker, coin roll hunting session tracker, calculators, and a split-flap display board you can cast to a TV.
What is included for free?
The free version includes live spot prices for 6 metals (silver, gold, platinum, palladium, copper, bitcoin), melt values for 34 US coins, the melt calculator, deal calculator, Gold/Silver Ratio, and 1 collection item.
What does MeltWatch Pro include?
Pro unlocks the full toolkit: light mode and system theme, Canadian Coin Roll Hunting, unlimited price alerts, unlimited collection tracking, price charts (1D, 1M, 6M, 1Y, custom), 40+ world coins and bullion, eBay Profit Calculator, unlimited batch valuation, auto-refresh, Display Mode (split-flap board), Venue/Dealer Mode, Estate Sales, Worth Grading Calculator, Premium Tracker, Badges, CSV/PDF export, and home screen widgets.
How much does Pro cost?
MeltWatch Pro is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Current pricing is shown in the app under Settings. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How do I cast the display board to a TV?
iPad (best): AirPlay from your iPad to any Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV. The board runs on the TV while you use other apps on the iPad. iPhone: AirPlay mirrors the board while the app is open, or use a USB-C to HDMI adapter for a dedicated display while your phone stays free.
How accurate are the coin specifications?
We maintain weights, fineness, and troy ounce values for each coin series and verify them against multiple numismatic sources. If you spot a discrepancy, email support and we will correct it.
How often do prices update?
Spot prices update from our data source continuously. Free users receive updates each time they open the app. Pro users can enable auto-refresh for updates as often as every minute while the app is open.
What is the Gold/Silver Ratio?
The Gold/Silver Ratio divides the gold price by the silver price to show how many ounces of silver it takes to buy one ounce of gold. MeltWatch shows the current ratio and a qualitative indicator (e.g., "Silver relatively cheap" or "Normal range") to help you gauge relative value.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open MeltWatch, go to Settings, and tap "Manage Subscription." Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID and will restore automatically on any device signed in with the same account. You can also manage subscriptions at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Can I export my collection data?
Yes. Pro users can export their collection as CSV or PDF from the My Collection screen. This is useful for insurance records, inventory tracking, or importing into spreadsheets.
What coins are supported?
MeltWatch includes 34 US coins (free) plus 40+ world coins and bullion with Pro. US coins range from War Nickels to Morgan Dollars and Gold Eagles. World coins include Canadian Maples, British Britannias, Mexican Libertads, Australian Kangaroos, South African Krugerrands, and more. Junk silver bags and generic bullion rounds/bars are also included.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings. Go to Settings on your iPhone/iPad, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find MeltWatch Pro, and tap Cancel Subscription. You will retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
